Oz Mozart . . . . . jul 17 2003 — ob55.dat

Anyone who uses a programming language in their daily work might profit. From what? Expanding their comfort zone. Picking up a new toolset. But what about re-thinking things entirely? There's nothing quite like a multi-paradigm computer language to pique your interest.

I'm talking about Oz, which in version 1.3 will be (is) syntax-compatible with the examples found in a book of great wisdom: Concepts, Techniques, and Models of Computer Programming by Peter Van Roy and Seif Haridi.

Even though not yet published (forthcoming from MIT Press), this promises to be a programmer's vacation reading at its very finest. Note: you can still download the PDF and print it out. As soon as the book is published, forget it!

Hop on the Mozart/Oz bandwagon now and continue your free computer science deucation by downloading Concepts, Techniques, and Models of Computer Programming by Peter Van Roy and Seif Haridi.
