Imaginary Travel Begins at Home . . . . . nov 24 2002 — it1.dat

Here's a travel tip you can use to save time going through security checkpoints at the airport. In the week before departure, clip your toenails. That way you won't have to carry toenail clippers and be delayed while zealous agents search your bag even more carefully after finding the clippers you forgot.

Yesterday I clipped my toenails, imagining that it was in preparation for boarding flight JL061 at 11:40 in the morning, arriving 16:25 in the afternoon the next day at Narita International Airport, Tokyo Japan. Since I had never visited Japan before it seemed to be one of the best possible destinations for an imaginary trip.

Have you ever wanted to do any of these? then you should definitely consider joining us, and see Japan as you have never experienced it before: through the eyes of someone who has never actually been there, but is going to go there anyway. Pick up a copy of Fodor's How to Pack [review] and join the daring adventure! Be sure to plan carefully, and don't pack your toenail clippers. pools=XML, Blog, Ruby
